Just as an experiment, could you please try pd-l2ork to see if you are experiencing the same problems? If so, that should point towards system issue as the two iterations have relatively different way of drawing objects. Please make sure not to mix the externals between the two as they need to be recompiled for pd-l2ork.<br>

P.S. FWIW Pd-l2ork is maintained under Ubuntu.<br>
