the default bath is either: /usr/local/bin (for the binaries) and<br>
/usr/local/lib/pd (for the rest) OR /usr/bin + /usr/lib/pd<br>

/usr/local is usually used for installing things manually (e.g. if you<br>
build Pd yourself and run "make install") and is therefore the default,<br>
whereas /usr is normally reserved for your package management system.<br>
