I would look into something like <a href="http://playground.arduino.cc/Code/CmdMessenger" class="">http://playground.arduino.cc/Code/CmdMessenger</a>.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The basic idea is similar to OSC, a protocol which determines which bytes are what and how to read them back correctly on the other end.
