I have also been a little confused by this in the past but found the explanation on the floss page helpful :

I also only seem to get one ramp if I click the [1 1000 0, 0 0 1000, 1 1000 1000( message in the help file

but works if I  add “ 0 0 , “ to the start of the message<br>

maybe i am doing something stupid, but i don´t get the vline~ synthax:<br>

the helpfile states: "Any number of future ramps may be scheduled and vline~ will remember them and execute them in order.

They must be specified in increasing order of initial delay however, since a segment cancels all planned segments at any future time.“<br>

<br>

then there is an example with a message box containing: 1 1000, 0 0 1000, 1 1000 1000<br>

but it doesn´t do more than ramp from 0-1 in a little more than a second.<br>

isn´t it supposed to ramp up then down to 0 in another second and then up again?<br>

(using pd47-1-64 bits on osx 11.6. btw)<br>
