          winter school</a>, to be held at the University of Oslo,
        Norway, 4-8 March 2019.<br>
        <br>
        This is an intensive PhD-level training course on <em class="
          elm-has-own-text">sound and motion analysis </em>with experts
        in sound and music computing from the Nordic countries.<br>

        </div>
        <h2>About</h2>
        The winter school will be taught with a combination of
        traditional and flipped-classroom methodologies. All
        participants are expected to follow the free online course <a
          href="https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/music-moves">Music
          Moves</a> prior to coming to Oslo. This MOOC lasts for 6 weeks
        (starting on 21 January) and will serve as background
        information for many of the topics dealt with during the week.
        <p class=" elm-has-own-text">The week in Oslo will comprise a
          combination of lectures, hands-on tutorials and a small,
          team-based research project utilizing the theories and methods
          taught during the school. <br>
        </p>
        <p class=" elm-has-own-text">All students that complete the
          MOOC, the Oslo programme, and submit a final written report,
          will receive a diploma with a recommendation of being awarded
          3 ECTS credits as part of their PhD training.</p>
        <h2>For Whom</h2>
        <p class=" elm-has-own-text">The winter school is primarily
          intended for PhD students in relevant fields, but it is also
          open for advanced Master's students. Students from the
          NordicSMC partners will have priority.</p>
        <h2>Cost</h2>
        <p class=" elm-has-own-text">The winter school is <em class="
            elm-has-own-text">free of charge</em> for all participants.
          Students from NordicSMC partners can apply forĀ  getting travel
          and accommodation covered. Other participants have to cover
          travel and accommodation on their own.</p>
        <h2>Participate</h2>
        <p class=" elm-has-own-text">To apply for a place in the winter

          and <span class="blueColor">a letter of interest</span> that
          clearly indicates your motivation and previous experience with
          sound and music computing.</p>
