[PD-ot] wiimote: extending lens coverage of ir-cam

hi all

i am trying to use a wiimote for a head position tracking. the built-in
ir camera has an angle of 40°. in order to extend the tracking area, i
would like to extend that angle to something like 70-90°. 
has anyone already done that? do you think it is possible at all?
where can i get a cheap wide angle lens? (around switzerland/germany).
