That was just a bit of debugging I left in by accident.  You had added 
that, and I was trying to narrow down differences, but the 
setCSizeByFormat() code is probably not related to the halftone problem 
on OSX.  You can put the setCsizeByFormat back in.

I don't recall what the 'buggy' comment was about.  Which code was it 
related to?
