I think Hans has done a good job of dealing with it, and each kind of device,
keyboard, mouse, tablet all send out data in the same way. I think it can only
be a good thing if patches make to interpret HID data can be used to interpret
Gem events.

Also I imagine an abstraction could be made that pretends to be gemmouse for
backwards compatibility.
