[GEM-dev] configure failure

Hi!

I'm trying to compile gem but I get this error when executing ./configure

checking size of unsigned int... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof

Fedora Core 5 + CCRMA on a single processor 32 bit i386 (a hp nx6110 laptop,
celeron M, 512 MB ram)

I just compiled pd from CVS 

I also installed mesa-libGLU-devel and libXxf86vm-devel from fc5 repositary
and lame, libquicktime and ffmpeg from source

I really can't understand what's wrong...
