[GEM-dev] Gem compile dies on glDeleteBuffersARB

I believe you need drivers and headers that support OpenGL 1.4 for that.
Those extensions were added to the ARB in early 2003 - even Apple has had
them for years.

There's no real need to build the vertex objects since even the most basic
structure of them is still being discussed and not finalized.
