[GEM-dev] [pix_snap]/[pix_sna2tex]

pix_snap takes up CPU time waiting for the GPU to finish all rendering
operations and then bring the data from the card to main memory.  This is
one of the least efficient OpenGL operations.  80% CPU at such a small size
seems like a lot though.
