could you please add this information to the bug-report hans mentioned?

i don't think so.
somebody (@ pd-list, i think) once mentioned a "special formatting" to 
tell your mua to not break a long line, but when i tried it, it had no 
effect.

probably it is something you can only fix by changing your mua: mutt 
everybody....
