when pd / gem run out of memory, pd exit with this message on the terminal :
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
Pd: signal 6
socket receive error: Connection reset by peer (104)
(with pd 0.41 test 9, GEM cvs, ubuntu gutsy, 2Go of Ram)
the test patch does simply load lot's of time the same texture. pd crash when it run out of memory.
if you have more than 2Go of memory, you can add more object.
