[GEM-dev] GEM: Unable to create window - Mac OS X on an AppleTV

Hi,

I've been playing around with PD + GEM for a bit, and have setup a very 
straight-forward delay for live video from a webcam.

The problem comes when I try and use it on an AppleTV that I've gotten to 
boot OS X 10.4.8 from an externa USB drive. I don't even get past creating 
a GEM window. The following is what I get:

[import] loaded library: Gem
GemwinMac: width - 500 height - 500
MAC: no info.context
error: GEM: Unable to create window
error: [gemwin]: GEM: gemwin: no window made

At first I thought it might have been x11 due to not having installed it 
and errors when I opened GEM, but thats not the case as I've added it. GEM 
now opens without any errors but I still get the error.

I'm using PD-extended 0.39.3

Any advice? Are there components in OS X that have no loaded under the 
AppleTV hardware that are causing me this problem?
