Summary: pix_video and device number

Initial Comment:
selecting the FireWire device on linux need to send a "device n" message to pix_video where n can be 0, 1 or 2, depending on the way you compile Gem.
for better portability of a patch, it would be great to alias this message with more explicit message : 
device FW, device V4L and device V4L2 by example...

the remaining thing is the actual backend names to use.
for now the rule of thumb was to use the same name as displayed in the
console and some handy aliases
- "video4linux", "v4l"
- "video4linux2", "v4l2"
- "ieee1394" (changed the displayed name from 'ieee1394 for linux'), "dv",
"dv4l"
