[GEM-dev] pix_image inefficient with ubuntu 9.10

hello,

i've got a strange problem with pix_image with the latest Gem on ubuntu 9.10
(using Nvidia drivers)

the pix_image object use lot's of CPU, event if no images are loader and if it is not connected to any other object.
no gemwin created either.

if i create a new patch, put 20 pix_image objects, my cpu go to 60%!

anyone having this problem?
any idea how to solve it?

same gem version with ubuntu 8.10 works fine.
