Most C compilers don't stop trying, when they get "No such file" errors. 
So they continue processing all the stuff that depends on having read the 
other files that were not found. It's dumb, but it's like that.

The main upside of it, is that it can tell you several "No such file" 
errors at once, so that you have the occasion to fix them at once.
