there is no brew formula (at least, i haven't found one)

i first tried creating one myself (which should be easy enough), but
soon discovered, that the last gmerlin-avdecoder release (1.2.0) is
not compatible with recent ffmpeg. so i checked out the svn versions
of both gavl¹ and gmerlin-avdcoder² and installed them manually.

afair, the only dependecy of gmerlin-avdecoder i directly installed
was ffmpeg (with *all* optional libraries enabled), and that was via
brew³.
