look again.

you say that you now get:

and before you said, that you got:

these seem to be very different errors to me.



the new one looks like you were compiling for some architecture (e.g.
'i386') before, and now you've compiled for another architecture (e.g.
'x86_64').

simply doing a "make clean" should fix that.

(the build process does a bit of logic to determine whether it needs to
update any intermediate files, but it doesn't check whether the
architecture of seemingly up-to-date intermediate files is correct.)
