[PD-announce] flext vst~ object in CVS

Hi all,
looking into the pure-data CVS i realized that exactly nothing has happened
to the vst~ plugin object that mark at junklight.com has developed a while ago.
Therefore i flextified it and changed a lot of things so that it is now
comparable to the Max/MSP vst~ object. However, it's still hardly tested
since i don't own a broad variety of vst plugins. Additionally the Steinberg
licensing issues have to be tackled someday in the future.
At the moment it's Windows only (use the vst.dsp project to compile), but an
OSX version will follow.

List of new features:
- fixed crash when there's no "VST_PATH" environment string found
- included pd path into VST search path
- made thread of editor window low priority
- introduced A LOT of attributes to get information about the plugin
- make editor window manipulable by patch
- plugin can be changed with plug attribute

It's now an object only (no need to load it with -lib) and it's not
compatible to Mark's original version.

Find it in the pure-data cvs:

/

Many thanks to Mark for his great work!

best greetings,
Thomas
