2. *Les Journées de la culture* auront lieu les 28, 29, et 30 septembre 
à Montréal et nous sommes fiers d'y présenter Myléna Bergeron, une 
artiste des HTMlles 8. Samedi le 29 septembre, le Studio XX ouvrira ses 
portes de 13h à 18h, afin de présenter au public de l'art numérique, une 
installation interactive visuelle et sonore, de la musique électronique 
ainsi que de l'expérimentation sonore. Artistes présentées: Julie 
Leblanc, Valérie Walker, Magali Babin, Myléna Bergeron Patrice Colombe, 
Hélène Prévost.

3. *Ateliers*
Ce 8e festival incluera des ateliers intéressants donnés par nos 
artistes invités sous notre thème 'contrôle des masses'. N'oubliez pas 
de visiter fréquemment le site web pour plus d'infos sur les ateliers à 
venir.
L'artiste multidisciplinaire Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez, originaire du 
Chili sera en résidence au Studio XX du 2 au 22 octobre. Pendant son 
séjour, elle donnera 2 ateliers:

*Titre de l'atelier*: DIY --- générateurs de sons
*Artiste*: Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez
*Date et durée:* samedi et dimanche, les 6 et 7 octobre 10h à 17h
*Objectif*: Réalisation d'un générateur de son et d'un crackle box 
alimenté par de petits panneaux solaires.

antenne, avec période d'expérimentation.

Mushon Zer-Aviv et Dan Phiffer, les artistes créateurs du programme 
activiste Shiftspace, un program web offrant la possibilité de 
superposer des commentaires par dessus des pages web existantes, 
offriront un atelier dans le cadre du festival HTMlles.

*Artiste*: Mushon Zer-Aviv et Dan Phiffer, artistes-programmeurs

*Objectif: *Apprendre à contrer la ségrégation et la privatisation de 
l'information sur l'internet. *Prix*: $10

Le duo artistique Kayle Brandon et Heath Bunting travaille sous le thème 
du contrôle des frontières depuis plusieurs années, et créent des 
interventions publiques et des livrets sur le sujet. Ils guideront une 
intervention publique à travers Montréal durant le festival HTMlles!

*Titre*: BorderXing - atelier, parcours extérieur, intervention
*Artiste*: Kayle Brandon and Heath Bunting
*Date*: jeudi 18 octobre, à 14h
*Prix*: GRATUIT
*Lieu*: rendez-vous au Monument National: 1882 St- Laurent, Montreal
*Amenez vos outils de jardinage et des souliers de course.

Faites vite pour réserver votre place! Le nombre de participants pour 
les ateliers varient entre 10 et 20.

4. *Les HTMlles ont besoin de bénévoles!* Afin que ce festival devienne 
un grand succès, l'aide de bénévoles est primordial pour nous. Si vous 
êtes intéressés, veuillez nous envoyer votre nom, courriel, intérêts et 
expérience pertinente afin que l'on puisse vous offrir un poste qui 
mettra en valeur vos compétences et représentera une expérience

5. *Recherche d'accomodation*
Nous recherchons présentement une offre de résidence pour une de nos 
artistes HTMlles Kayle Brandon, pour les 15 au 28 octobre.
Aussi Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez aura besoin d'une résidence du 4 au 21 
octobre.

2. *The "journées de la culture"* are comming up september 28, 29 and 30 
in Montreal! We are proud to announce that Myléna Bergeron, one of our 
HTMlles 8 artists, will be present at Studio XX's open studio on the 
29th, from 1pm to 6pm. Come and see some digital experimentation.
Presented artists: Julie Leblanc, Valérie Walker, Magali Babin, Myléna 
Bergeron, Patrice Coulombe, Hélène Prévost and Marie-Ève Boyer.

3. *Workshops*
The 8th edition of the festival offers unique opportunities to meet and 
learn from internationally renown artists, through inexpensive and 
timely workshops on our 'Crowd control' theme. Stay tuned online for 
news of other workshops by festival artists.
Interdisciplinary artist Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez, from Chile, will 
be in residency at Studio XX from October 2nd to 22nd. During her stay, 
she will be offering 2 workshops:

*Title*: DIY- noise generators

*Date and time*: Saturday and Sunday, the 6th and 7th of October, from 
10am to 5pm
*Objective*: Creation of a noise generator and crackle box powered by 
small solar pannels.

websites -- will be hosting a workshop at the festival.

Artist duo Kayle Brandon and Heath Bunting have been working for many 
years on the notion of border control, and have been doing public 
interventions and creating field guides for people interested in 
crossing borders. They will be guiding a public intervention throughout 
Montreal during the HTMlles festival!

4. *The HTMlles need volunteers!* In order for this festival to be a 
memorable success, volunteers are primordial. If you're interested, 
please send us your name, contact info, interests and experience to 
allow us to match you to the position that you would find the most 
enriching and interesting.
We are currently requiring:

- distribution of promotional materials in your neighborhood
- postering (street and bulletin boards) in your neighborhood

*Welcoming team*
- door/tickets/guestlist
- tabling and sales
- opening & closing party 

*Technical Support*
- computer & network technical support
- technical support to artists

*Transportation*
- international artists' mobility
- transport of technical materials

5. *We are presently seeking accomodations* for our festival artist 
Kayle Brandon, who will be staying in from October 15th to 28th. Also, 
our artist Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez will be needing accommodation 
from october 4th to 21st.
