[PD-dev] [gem] pix_film problem

hello,

...things have been going just fine with the OS X port: images are 
now working, so I'm trying to get movies/film started...thing is, 
whenever I open the example "film.pd", I get a major crash in the 
program with the following console output:

Consistency check failed: pd_new: apparently called before setup routine

...I've found this is generated within pd, but I'm not sure why or 
how to make it go away!  btw, this error doesn't occur when using the 
"movie.pd" example patch...

any ideas?
