strange, somehow you seem to end up at the wrong machine?
maybe there's dns hickups or something at sf.net?

|good morning all,
|
|I've just been trying to import an external into the pd
|externals cvs at sourceforge, by doing the following:
|
| export CVS_RSH=/usr/local/bin/ssh
| export CVSROOT=:ext:mukau at cvs.pure-data.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/pure-data
| cvs -z3 import externals/forward mukau initial
|
|... which gives me the following error message, after I type my
|(correct) sourceforge password:
|
| cvs import: warning: unrecognized response `' from cvs server
| cvs import: warning: unrecognized response `Welcome to cvs.sourceforge.net' from cvs server
| cvs import: warning: unrecognized response `' from cvs server
| cvs import: warning: unrecognized response `This is a restricted Shell Account' from cvs server
| cvs import: warning: unrecognized response `You cannot execute anything here.' from cvs server
| cvs import: warning: unrecognized response `' from cvs server
| cvs [import aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)
|
|... I've checked the sourceforge page for tips, and I've
|been able to successfuly direct-ssh to 'shell.sourceforge.net', but
|I get immediately kicked out when I try to ssh anywhere else
|(i.e. 'cvs.sourceforge.net')...
|
|configuration:
|
| ssh: OpenSSH_3.4p1
| cvs: v1.11
| os : linux (2.4.19)
|
|I use cvs over ssh regularly, but I've never had to deal with
|cvs over ssh to a restricted shell before -- does anyone have
|any ideas? did I miss something in the docs?
|
|marmosets,
| Bryan
