[PD-dev] external renaming / cvs

good morning all,

i've just finished renaming my 'forward' external to
'sprinkler' -- unfortunately, the CVS repository
now has a dead (read: "empty") 'externals/forward'
subdirectory floating around.

does anyone on the list have any tips about how
to remove an empty cvs subdirectory (other than
the '-P' switch)?  usually, i do that sort of
thing by hand in the shell, but that's not possible
at sourceforge, and i didn't see any sourceforge
cleanup requests localized to a subdirectory when
i checked their 'support requests' page...

ideas?  or can everyone live with an empty directory?
