Come on !!

I just tried again, and if I set the CVS_RSH to another value, I get
exactely the same error as you.

So, its the "setenv CVS_RSH=ssh"
its meant to be "setenv CVS_RSH ssh"
without the "=".

I am pretty sure that this is the problem.
