Okay. What I did last night was put the GUISHADOW ifdefs in, so Frank is
happy, and we have a place in the code to go to for making these
adjustments in making it configurable.

If the GUI bits are to be made configurable, then it would make sense
that the color should be, too. But I want to praise Joe for that color...
it balances out the width so that it's distinctive but doesn't dominate
the patch. Blue is now taken (pending disconnect), and red and green are
too semantically loaded.

No. I forgot to CC: to the list at first, but then I "redirected" the
mail to the list. That had the unexpected side-effect of making it look
like a personal mail sent to everyone one pd-dev. Whoops.
