downloaded new cvs snapshot of ffmpeg today but it
did not compile. so i linked the one from
2003-02-07 (being the last i've got) and for the
first time the image was decoded properly (that
was not the case with 0.4.6 release version). yet
pd crashed after trying to play the same movie
again. since then it instantly crashes when
opening the same movie. 

but the one time it worked it decoded and played
the video file (being 640x480 - that is BIG) with
processor load of about 10-12% (that is NOT
big)). impressive in my view
