[PD-dev] Debian Package Files into CVS?

I was looking around for the debian package files (rules, menu, etc) for
pd the SourceForge CVS.  I have only found them in the Debian source
package which I downloaded from Debian.org.  

It seems to me that since the debian package stuff for the externals is
kept in CVS, that the debian package stuff for pd should be kept there
too.  I would really like to be able to cvs checkout pd and compile a DEB
like I can with the externals.
