[receive] from cvs does not accept 'set' message, currently
(afaik), because nobody knows how to do it both safely, and
efficiently, without changing the way Pd handles symbol bindings
internally.

I suggested once (long time ago) a solution of providing a special,
settable, argumentless [r], working less efficiently than the
usual, not settable [r] with an argument -- as is the case with
the c74's [r].

this is why [send] is not settable in max -- there is a separate
[forward] object instead.
