I am trying to think how to incorporate such
content into pure-data.org.  My first thought was a 'Getting Started'
section, with info about downloads, mailing lists, webring, etc.  But its
hard to fit in static content with a blog.

pure-data.sf.net is a natural starting place, since its becoming the main
download site for pd, but there are too many different sites for pd, it
would be great to merge some of them.
