Hi folks,

more on the extension issue...
i've just been tracking down some strange behaviour with textures on my
windows machine. it has a Geforce2MX with texture rectangle support but i'm
compiling with the standard MS gl.h (not nvidia's gl.h)

this brings up a few problems with the present code...

so i was going to add (yet more) #ifdefs so that that extension will only be
checked at run-time if the symbol was defined at compile-time. that is,
#ifdef the setting of the flag setting. i think this has been implicitly
assumed up to now...

does this seem okay to everyone?

Daniel
