Well, I only read it long ago, so I don't count...

I disagree. In my opinion, such asumptions should not be made at all.
We should let the user provide a save file location, and don't try to
outsmart him/her.

If the user didn't provide a conzise filename we shouldn't do anything
at all, because essential information is missing.
