It's the other way around: There's no ALSA in Pd's midi. Pd doesn't
use ALSA's special midi subsystem (the sequencer), but uses raw midi
devices and it has to be in those named /dev/midiXX. The option 
"-midi(in|out)dev" expects a number one less than XX. So -mdev 22
looks for midi device 21, -mdev 1 looks for midi device 0, i.e.
/dev/midi0

Or use the Media-menu.
