:) true, just dropped it into my debian/patches folder of the
puredata debian package, dpkg-buildpackage - works.
I have uploaded a 0.38test8 version to debian experimental, for those
who have debian and don't want to patch/compile:
deb ftp://ftp.**.debian.org/debian experimental main
Should hit the mirrors tomorrow.

Please, upload the patch against 0.38test8 to the patches tracker.

Tim uploaded several patches already and Miller will have a fine
selection of patches to put into 0.38. The alsa midi stuff should
definitely be there.
