Yes, but also supercollider has disadvantages (as you might know) ... but
anyhow, I don't want a supercollider vs. pd discussion now :)

what about a threaded soundfiler with flext (dont know if this would work) ?
then only thomas has the work to adpat it for the new pd releases ... :)
