I'm already working with py/pyext, libsnfile, the respective sndfile 
module available for Python, and numarrays. Needless to say that this 
is much more powerful than soundfiler.
Since py/pyext is threaded files are loaded in nicely.... now, we only 
need an access object of numarrays for normal pd externals.
I'll start experimenting with that soon... but i'm going for a bit of 
vacation first.
