[PD-dev] fiddle~ crashes Pd 0.38-4

So I am trying to work with [fiddle~] and I've found that it crashes Pd  
on Mac OS X if I connect it to an audio source and turn on DSP.  I am  
using Pd-0.38-4-extendedRC1.  This does not seem to happen with  
Miller's Pd-0.38-3, but I don't have a running version of a plain  
0.38-4 to test with.  Anyone else had any fiddle~ crashes? Can anyone  
reproduce this?
