oh, then you could use [multiline~] which doesn't have the stupid 
name-restriction. (but i _guess_ [mtx_*~] is more optimized for such tasks)

adding interpolation to [demux~] would complicated the code so much...
(altough [demux~] is probably not so usefull without interpolation)
