believe or not, that is:

$ set|grep LANG
LANG=it_IT
LANGUAGE=it_IT
$ unset LANG LANGUAGE
$ set|grep LANG
$ pd -jack
priority 6 scheduling enabled.
priority 8 scheduling enabled.
Enhanced3DNow! detected
bad screen distance "75,000000" <--this is after creating [plugin~] object

(I keep pd-dev in CC, hoping in something good)
