A few days ago I coded a [route2] which always outputs the same thing as 
the input, and then soon enough I'll also code a [route3] which replaces 
the selector by "list". This is so that abstractions become easier to 
code. I'd welcome better names than [route2] and [route3] if they're not 
too long.
