[PD-dev] heavy bug in pd 0.39-1 (and maybe others?)

hi all,

this happens on linux..... maybe on other platforms and/or pd-versions as 
well ...

try the following (close all other applications first):

1. create a bang
2. edit its properties
3. as label enter \\
4. apply 

the machine becomes sluggish almost instantly, x doesnt react to anything 
anymore, and heavy disk activity is going on ....

only a emergency reboot helps ...
