It is very inconvenient to have to set the number of
channels (and activate them) in the settings dialog
each time Pd is started.

>From what I can remember, it worked fine (ie, set the
requested number of channels and activated them) in Pd
0.39-0test6.

Fixed in pd-0.40-1 from Miller's site:

$ ./pd -jack -inchannels 2 -outchannels 2 -verbose -stderr
