Initial Comment:
Not much more to say realy delwrite~ delread~ simply doesn't function. I was running OSX 10.4.8 I just updated to 10.4.9 on a macbook Pro intel core 2 duo 2.16. I tried  all the usual things like restarting the pd renaming the del objects - nothing except one pair from a previous patch which functions but I have no idea why it would be different. The help patch doesn't work either...
