>Summary: embed preferences in to the Pd distro

Initial Comment:
This patch allows you to embed an org.puredata.pd.plist file into the Pd.app so that it can have default preferences, and also serve as something like a compiled Pd app, by embedding a patch and an org.puredata.pd.plist into a Pd.app.

It just makes minor changes to s_file.c and works with 0.39.2, 0.40.2, and 0.41-0test04.

I added a patch that supports the same idea on GNU/Linux. This might be
possible with Win32 also. My guess is that there would have to be a
separate tree in the registry that used if the user has never saved any
preferences to the registry.
File Added: embed_pdsettings-0.41-0test04.patch

Brilliant! I was just thinking about this option the other day. What a
confusion killer!
