Right now I am devouring every sample patch I can get my hands on. It seems to be really easy to modify them to suit my purposes.

A few of them require libraries for which there doesn't seem to be source available, just binaries (for i386, which I don't have). But that's probably related to the other questions in my original (snipped) post.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to end up installing something that has since been deprecated or superceded.

Thanks for the reply. As long as that one works, I'll be glad to install and use it. I'm off to go OSC now.
