Summary: pd-extended's "make" does "make install"
Initial Comment:
when doing a "make" in pd-extended (as root), will install everything to /usr/local/
this is _not_ what is usually expected: use "make install" when you want to install things with make.

That sounds like a good idea, I added it to generate_install_makefile.bash
and checked it in.

oops, got the quotes wrong, this should be better:
default:
@echo 'you have to run "make install" to install pd-extended'

a quick fix would be to just add these 2 lines to the very beginning of
the Makefile:
default:
@echo 'you have to run "make install' to install pd-extended'

ok, here are the steps to reproduce it:
1. get Pd-0.39.3-extended-planetccrma6-i386.tar.bz2
2. untar it
3. cd into the Pd-0.39.3-extended/ directory
4. become a privileged user (aka root)
5. run "make"
6. Pd-extended will install itself into /usr/local
the README.txt says, that you have to run "make install" to install, not
just "make"

Where are you running make? More details are needed.
