This is the first line of the first file that you're trying to compile, so 
it looks like the compiler isn't being specified. Turns out that in the 
makefile.mingw in pd/src (maybe not the same makefile you're using) the 
variable $(CC) is never defined; normally it should be set to point to gcc. 
Did some line(s) get dropped accidentally?
