created a quick help patch.   [ftos] is a very old external that has not
been maintained, and is buggy.  [makesymbol] is probably a much better
option.

In cvsroot/externals/ext13/doc/ext13-help.pd there is some info one some
of the ext13 externals. fx ftos. true there is no dedicated help file per
class.
