Initial Comment:
The plugin~ object was incorrectly using a [print< message. By reading the source, I saw that it should have been using an [info< message. I changed this and added [print] objects so that the output in response to the info messages can be seen. I added attribution of this fix to the file, which you can feel free to remove if it is inappropriate.
