wow sounds great! i will try it out asap.

i kind of abandoned work on [canvasselect] after i realized that it did 
not seem to work as i liked (e.g. you cannot select something in a 
closed patch). that's why there were post()s inside rather than useful 
output...

yes, i know this and it is on my todo list  (it's not hard to do, i just 
did not find the time yet),
i'm planning a separate class of objects like [canvas...] that operate 
on _other_ objects rather than self.
